The older your phone, the less likely it supports 4G LTE and VoLTE which is needed to work on Mint’s network. If you are not sure if your phone supports 4G LTE and VoLTE, then we have an easy-to-use tool that allows you to check. Head to Bring Your Own Phone page by clicking here, enter your IMEI number (we give you instructions on how to find it). We can then tell you if we are Mint to be or not.

If you checked your phone using our compatibilty tool, and found that your phone won’t work on Mint, then we have a fox ton of Android and iPhones available on mintmobile.com/phones. All of these phones support 4G LTE and VoLTE, and work perfectly with our network. Even bettter you can find some starting at under $100. When you are shopping for a new phone, there are a few things you want to look for to make sure you’ll get the most awesome experience on Mint. Check that it is 4G LTE compatible, and is VoLTE friendly. You might want to think about getting a 5G compatible phone, though it is not essential to work on our network.

If the phone has bands 2, 4, 12 and 71, then that is ideal.

If you are using a newer device running iOS 12.0 or higher, your data and MMS settings will be automatically updated as long as you have updated your carrier settings.

To ensure your carrier settings are up to date, go to Settings > General > About > Carrier. If prompted to update your carrier settings, select Update.
