Can I keep my number?

Yes, you can keep your number when you join Mint. To transfer your current phone number, simply select the option ‘Transfer My Number’ during activation. Unfortunately, once a plan is activated, we can’t transfer your number, so make sure you do it at activation.

We suggest prepping before activation as you’ll need some information from your old carrier:

  • Your current account number. This can be found on your billing statement, or just hit them up to get it
  • The corresponding password, pass code or PIN code number.
  • The billing address associated with the account.

Note: your phone number may take up to 48 hours to complete and landlines can take up to 5 business days. If you have any questions regarding your transfer, email Once the number has been successfully transferred, we’ll send you an SMS and confirmation email. Aight?

FYI, Mint does not charge a fee for transferring your number, but your less-cool, old school carrier might.
