If you decide Mint isn’t right for you, you have a week to return your purchase for a full refund.
Full details can be viewed in our official
Terms and
Conditions
All of our full phone plans and See for Yourself Kits feature a 7-Day Money Back Guarantee for all purchases made on mintmobile.com or using the app. You can cancel your wireless phone plan service for any reason within 7 days of activation and we will refund you 100% of the purchase price, including any fees and taxes. Shipping is not refunded.
Got an unused SIM card? We’ll honor returns for these within 10 days of purchase. It must be returned in its original unopened packaging and the SIM card must not be activated (condition counts—we aren’t called Mint for nothing). This does not apply to SIM cards purchased from one of our national retail partners or any other store website.
You can check your phones eSIM compatibility on https://mintmobile.com/esim. Please note the device must be unlocked.
You will need a new eSIM. First, make sure that your new device will be eligible with a Mint eSIM, and is unlocked. If not, then you will need to switch back to a physical SIM.
When you have your new eligible device follow the below steps:
When you switch to a new eSIM, you will keep you current plan and number. No change there.
With our Bring Your Own Phone (BYOP) program, you can easily get Mint Mobile service on your current device. Just switch out the SIM card and presto. If your phone is unlocked and compatible with Mint Mobile eSIM, you can activate your plan instantly right on your phone.
Compatible BYOP devices include:
– Most unlocked, GSM-network phones
– Unlocked AT&T, T-Mobile, Cricket Wireless, Simple Mobile, and Straight Talk phones
– Most phones with a SIM card
You may need to hit up your carrier to unlock your phone.
If you’re still not sure if your phone will work with Mint Mobile, visit willmyphonework.net. Once there, enter your phone’s brand and model, U.S. for country and, under “Carrier,” choose our partner company, Ultra Mobile. (This, however, does not guarantee if the device is unlocked or that the phone will work with our service).
The IMEI is the serial number that uniquely identifies your mobile phone. In the event that your phone is lost or stolen, reporting the IMEI will completely block service to the phone. To access your phone’s IMEI for your own personal records, please dial *#06# on your phone’s keypad. The IMEI will be displayed on the screen.
If you’re on a prepaid or pay-as-you-go plan, your phone is probably unlocked; however, if you’re on a two-year contract or something similar, your phone is probably carrier-locked until you finish paying it off.
The most reliable way to determine whether or not your phone is unlocked is by calling your current carrier and asking them to verify your phone’s status. You will most likely need to provide your account password (if applicable) and your phone’s IMEI number. You can find this on most phones by dialing *#06# on your keypad.
Phones need to be unlocked prior to activating your Mint Mobile service.
Head to our phone shop at https://phones.mintmobile.com/ to see a full array of phones. Also, check out https://www.mintmobile.com/deals/ for some of our best offers.
If your phone is GSM and accepts a SIM card, then your phone is most likely unlocked. If you want to double check, try contacting your current carrier to check if your phone is unlocked.
When you are shopping for a new phone, there are a few things you want to look for to make sure you’ll get the most awesome experience on Mint. Check that it is 4G LTE compatible, and is VoLTE friendly. You might want to think about getting a 5G-compatible phone, though it is not essential to work on our network.
If the phone has bands 2, 4, 12 and 71, then that is ideal.
If you’re still not sure, the Phone Compatibility tool has all the answers. The IMEI search will give you the most accurate results for your specific phones.
Super easy, we have a tool for that. Head over to our Bring Your Own Phone page, and enter your IMEI number (your phone’s ID – we give you instructions on how to find). We can then tell you if we are Mint to be or not.
The older your phone, the less likely it supports 4G LTE and VoLTE which is needed to work on Mint’s network. If you are not sure if your phone supports 4G LTE and VoLTE, then we have an easy-to-use tool that allows you to check. Head to Bring Your Own Phone page by clicking here, enter your IMEI number (we give you instructions on how to find it). We can then tell you if we are Mint to be or not.
If you checked your phone using our compatibilty tool, and found that your phone won’t work on Mint, then we have a fox ton of Android and iPhones available on mintmobile.com/phones. All of these phones support 4G LTE and VoLTE, and work perfectly with our network. Even bettter you can find some starting at under $100. If you have any questions then call or chat with our care humans and they will help you out.
Mint Mobile’s 7-Day Money Back Guarantee applies to all first-time customer purchases of full plans and Starter Kits made on mintmobile.com or using the Mint Mobile app. Plan renewals are not eligible.

All new phones purchased from our website come with a manufacturer’s warranty from the original date of sale, so you’re good there.

Just check out our return policy here. https://www.mintmobile.com/return-policy/
If knocking on wood when you hit “buy now” doesn’t work, just visit https://www.mintmobile.com/return-policy/ and fill out the refund request form. From there, our Care team will make things right.
After you’ve tried our service and know what data plan is right for you, then you can choose the length of plan depending on how much you want to save on 3, 6 or 12 months.
Mint Tip: You can lock in our introductory 3-month pricing by renewing for 12 months.
Log into your account at mintmobile.com/login anytime to check out our available plans and pricing.
You can’t change the duration of your current plan once it’s started. You can, however, set up a new plan duration to automatically renew at the end of your current plan by logging into your account with the Mint Mobile app or at mintmobile.com/login. 10/10 would recommend.

FYI: Data add ons are not available for Unlimited plans.
Unfortunately, Mint plans do not support smartwatches right now.
Rather than the original manufacturer’s packaging, your new phone was shipped to you in a special Mint Mobile box because it’s minty fresh. All parts and accessories are still included–just like you ordered.
Easy-peasy. Return your phone inside its original box with all the parts, accessories and documentation within 7 days of the original request. And if your new phone came damaged, please submit a return request within 3 days of the phone’s delivery.
For phones purchased on phones.mintmobile.com, a new account was created at checkout (note: this password may be different than your normal Mint Mobile login when using the Mint Mobile app). Please use the login created at checkout to submit a return. If you’re having trouble remembering the password for your account, try submitting a new password request here.
