What Happens Once You've Purchased a Plan

Your 3-in-1 SIM card will come with step-by-step instructions to help you through the process. Not ready to activate right away? Not a problem. You have 45 days to activate your Mint Mobile SIM after you receive it. Check out the short video to see just how easy it will be.

During the activation process, you’ll need to choose between keeping your current phone number or getting a new number.

Keeping your number

Before you bring your number, you’ll need to get some information from your current carrier. Just make sure not to cancel your current plan until you’ve completed the Mint activation process.

Contact your current carrier to request your account number, PIN number and billing ZIP code. You’ll need this information to transfer your old number while completing the step-by-step Mint Mobile activation.

Give yourself a pat on the back. Just input your information when activating your plan and you’re good to go.

Getting a new number

Simply choose the “get a new number” option during activation and a new number will be provided based on your ZIP code.
