When you first sign up for Mint, you’ll get the 3-month New Customer Offer, which gives you our lowest rates. After the 3 months are up, you can renew onto a 12-month plan to enjoy the same savings. No matter which plan you choose, you’ll pay for everything up front, meaning you won’t have a monthly bill. And the more months you buy, the more you save.

IS SWITCHING PHONE CARRIERS A PAIN?
Answer:Switching to Mint is a breeze.

It only takes a few minutes to switch to Mint and you can do so right in the Mint Mobile App. We even have videos to walk you through everything. You just need your phone, a SIM and a couple bits of info from your current carrier if you want to bring your number over to Mint too.

Those “couple bits” of info are:

  • Account Number
  • Number Transfer PIN or PIN (Note: Varies by carrier.)
  • Account billing address

8: WILL I LOSE MY PHONE NUMBER, APPS, PHOTOS, ETC WHEN I SWITCH?
Answer: No, and let’s debunk that urban legend right now.

First, your phone number can and will totally come with you to Mint. Second, the term “smartphone” is kind of a spoiler alert…meaning your phone has the brains to keep your most important information like apps, photos, etc right where it is when you make the switch. Basically, all that stuff is stored on the phone itself or in the Cloud as opposed to a SIM card, so you won’t lose it.

Now, if you’re also switching phones, you need to make sure you’ve backed everything up digitally first, so you can transfer everything to your new phone with no problems.

CAN I TRY MINT MOBILE FIRST?
Answer:Yes, and it’s super easy.

Don’t worry, if you’re on a lower plan and you need more data, you always have the option to add more or just upgrade to a higher data plan and pay the difference.
