Does Mint Mobile support RCS for Android and iPhone phones?

Yep. RCS is available for both Android and iPhone devices. All Android devices (9+) and iOS devices (18.4 and above) have RCS features automatically enabled and defaulted on. To use RCS features, all parties must have RCS enabled and compatible carrier support.

How does RCS work while I’m roaming internationally with Minternational Pass? 

Since RCS messages are sent using mobile data, they will count against your data allowance unless you’re connected to Wi-Fi. If you’re traveling internationally and prefer to use your allotted SMS/MMS messages instead, you can turn off RCS while roaming.

To turn RCS on or off, follow the instructions below

iPhone

1. Go to Settings 
2. Select Apps
3. Select Messages
4. Scroll down and select RCS Messaging
5. Toggle the Green button to turn RCS On or Off

Android

1. If you don’t already have Google Messages downloaded, proceed with downloading the app from the Google Play Store
2. On your device, open Google Messages 
3. At the top right, tap your profile picture or icon  
4. Select Messages settings
5. Tap RCS chats
6. Turn RCS chats On or Off
