How do I change my 5G Home MINTernet Wi-Fi name and password?

We know it’s important to have a unique and very clever Wi-Fi network name at home, so we made it easy to change your Home MINTernet Wi-Fi network name—as well as your password—during the initial setup process or at any time in the future in the Mint Mobile app. 

Option 1: During Initial 5G Gateway Device Setup

1. Open the Mint Mobile app and log in to your Home MINTernet account
2. Select Manage More Wi-Fi Settings
3. Follow the steps to connect and update your 5G Gateway
4. Once connected, you’ll see Change your Wi-Fi name
5. Under Current Wi-Fi name, enter the default name exactly as it’s printed on the sticker on your Gateway
6. Under New Wi-Fi name, enter whatever you would like the new network name to be
7. Tap Continue
8. You’ll then be asked to update the Wi-Fi password as well. Enter a new one and tap Continue to finish setting up your Gateway

Option 2: After the Gateway is Already Set Up

1. Connect your phone to the Home MINTernet Wi-Fi network you’re going to be making changes to
2. Open the Mint Mobile app and log in to your Home MINTernet account
3. From the navigation menu, under Wi-Fi, select Wi-Fi Settings
4. On the Update Network Name and Password screen:
   1. Enter your new network name
   2. Enter your new password
5. Tap Update & Save
