How do I change my plan?

Mint Mobile makes it easy to change your plan via the Mint Mobile app or on our website. Below are step-by-step instructions on how to change your Mint Mobile plan.

How to change your Mint Mobile plan via the app

If you prefer accessing your Mint Mobile account through our app, follow these instructions: 

1. Log into your Mint Mobile app
2. Click on My Plan
3. Go to Change Plan in the top right-hand corner
4. Select which you need more of: months or data
   • More data: You can switch immediately at the end of your current plan or at your monthly reset
   • More months: You’ll be able to switch at the end of your current plan 
   • If you need less data, you can choose that option as part of your next plan
5. A message will pop up to select if you want to upgrade your monthly plan. The changes made to your monthly plan will start with the next cycle. Once you decide to upgrade, you’ll be sent to the confirmation dashboard where you can choose to  pay now or later.
   • If you want to increase your data amount mid-cycle, you can make the change now and pay the difference, or set the increase to start on your next plan and pay later. 

If you want to cancel your change, there will be an option on the confirmation dashboard that says “Cancel plan change”. However, if you choose to increase your data amount now and make the payment, you cannot revert the changes.

How to change your Mint Mobile plan via the website

If you’d rather access your plan through our website, follow these instructions:

1. Log into your Mint Mobile account at mintmobile.com/login.
2. On the left rail, scroll to My Plan and click on Manage Plan 
3. Select which you need more of: months or data
   • More data: You can switch immediately at the end of your current plan or at your monthly reset
   • More months: You’ll be able to switch at the end of your current plan 
   • If you need less data, you can choose that option as part of your next plan 
4. A message will pop up to select if you want to upgrade your monthly plan. The changes made to your monthly plan will start with the next cycle. Once you decide to upgrade, you’ll have the option to either pay now or later
   • If you want to increase your data amount mid-cycle, you can make the change now and pay the difference or set the increase to start on your next plan and pay later. 

If you want to cancel your change, there will be an option on the top right hand corner of the plan cards to cancel. However, if you’ve increased your data amount and made the payment, you cannot revert back.

I need more 5G • 4G LTE data each month. Can I change my plan?

Yes. If you pay the difference between your current plan and upgraded plan, you can upgrade your 5G • 4G LTE data size mid-cycle. You can also set the change to occur when your current plan ends. Unfortunately, you can’t switch to a smaller data plan mid-cycle.

When can I change the length of my plan?

Once your current plan has started, you can’t change the duration. However, you can set up a new plan duration to automatically renew at the end of your current plan. Simply log into your account with the Mint Mobile app or via mintmobile.com/login.
