How do I know when my data resets?

Knowing when your monthly data allotment resets is important for managing your data usage and deciding if a plan change may be in order. Keeping track of the specific date when your 5G • 4G LTE data resets can be a bit confusing though, so let’s break it down.

If you are currently on a 3 or 6-month plan, your data will reset every 30 days

  • This doesn’t change depending on the month length. So if your data reset on March 20th, it will reset again on April 19th, then again on May 19th, then on June 18th.

If you are currently on a 12-month plan, your data will reset every 30 or 31 days, to cover 365 days total.

  • Seven months out of the year will refresh at 30 days, and the remaining five will refresh at 31. These aren’t tied to calendar months but are calculated from your activation date. For example: if you activated on March 20th, your first refresh would be April 20th (31 days later), followed by May 20th (30 days later) and then June 20th (31 days later).

Note: There are some older 12-month plans that are based on a 360-day calendar cycle. These plans reset their data every 30 days.

You can also view the next data reset date in the Mint Mobile app or via the Mint Mobile website

  1. Log in to the Mint Mobile app or your account at mintmobile.com/login
  2. Select the Dashboard tab (if you’re not already on it by default)
  3. You will see a circle showing your data usage so far for the month. Just below that, it will say Data renews on followed by the reset date

We know that’s a lot of info to keep straight, which is why we’ll also text you whenever your monthly data has reset.
