How do I set up and manage auto renewal?

When you’re not paying a bill every single month, it’s easy to lose track of when your account is set to renew. We will notify you by text and email when your renewal date is coming up, but there’s an easier way to renew your plan with Auto Renewal. 

Auto Renewal makes it easy to automatically renew your wireless plan and put your savings on auto-pilot. With auto Renewal turned on, you never have to worry about forgetting your plan renewal or deal with interruptions to your service.

Instructions on how to activate auto renewal are below. Any changes to your plan or Auto Renewal cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled Auto Renewal date.

How to set up Auto Renewal during Purchase and Activation 

At Purchase

When you purchase your Mint Mobile plan through our website, you will be given the option to enable Auto Renewal at checkout. If enabled, you will be charged on the same card you purchased your plan with once your current plan is up for renewal. 

During Activation

You can set up Auto Renewal during activation through the Mint Mobile app only.

FYI: if you enable Auto Renewal at your time of purchase, you will not be asked to enable it during activation.

How to set up Auto Renewal in the Mint Mobile app

If your account is already active but Auto Renewal isn’t, you can log in to your account via the Mint Mobile app to switch the Auto Renewal toggle on in seconds. This is also where to go to turn Auto Renewal off. 

Note: if you don’t have an up-to-date method of payment on your account, you’ll be asked to add one.

1. Open and log into your Mint Mobile app

2. Click Account on the bottom right hand corner

3. Scroll down to Payment and click Payment method

4. Toggle Auto Renewal to on

How to set up Auto Renewal through Account Management on the Mint Mobile website

You can also log in to your account online at mintmobile.com/login to set up Auto Renewal at any time. This is also where to go to turn Auto Renewal off. 

Note: If you don’t have an up-to-date method of payment on your account, you’ll be asked to add one here.

1. Log into your Mint Mobile account

2. Navigate to My Account from the menu

3. Scroll down to Payment and make sure you’ve added a Payment method 

4. Toggle Auto Renewal on 

Things to remember with Auto Renewal

• As mentioned above, we’ll notify you via text message and email of your renewal date 30 days in advance. You can also view your Renewal Date anytime in the app. 

• If you turn off Auto Renewal and do not manually renew your plan before it expires, your account will go into suspension. Turning on Auto Renewal helps you never miss a plan renewal. 

• Once you turn on Auto Renewal, you can set your plan and forget your plan. So before setting it up, you might want to make any changes to your plan like switching data amounts if you need to, updating payment method, or renewing onto a longer plan to lock in a lower rate. Btw, you can make any of these changes up until one day before your plan renews.
