What is Mint Mobile’s phone unlock policy? When you purchase a phone directly from Mint Mobile, it’s locked to our network. This means it won’t accept SIM cards from any other carriers and you can’t use it on another wireless carrier’s network until it is unlocked. Per our current policy, Mint Mobile phones will automatically be unlocked 60 days after activation on our network. There are certain requirements your phone must meet to qualify for unlocking, mainly to protect yourself and us from any fraudulent activity.
