Revised May 2, 2022
IMPORTANT: Please read the following Mint Family Plan Terms & Conditions (“Mint Family Terms & Conditions”) before activating and participating in a Mint Family Plan. By activating or participating in a Mint Family Plan, you agree to be bound by these Mint Family Terms & Conditions, as well as Mint Mobile’s Plan Terms & Conditions, Mint Mobile’s Site Terms of Use, Mint Mobile’s Acceptable Use Policy and Mint Mobile’s Privacy Policy, which are all available at www.mintmobile.com. These Mint Family Terms & Conditions may be updated or modified at any time, with or without notice to the customer, and are binding once posted to the Mint Mobile website. It is your responsibility to regularly check the Mint Family Terms & Conditions for changes. Mint Mobile reserves the right to terminate or discontinue the multi-line plan at any time by providing notice. Notice may be sent directly to customers or posted on Mint Mobile’s website.
The Mint Family Plan allows existing Mint Mobile customers (minimum two lines) to pay for multiple accounts using one form of payment. Family Plan members that enroll in any 12-month plan are eligible to pay the 12-month plan cost in 3-month increments. The Primary account holder can invite up to four additional Members to their family, with each Member delegating authority to the Primary account holder to pay for plan changes, plan renewals, data add-ons, international roaming, add funds to their Mint Mobile wallet and view their Member’s data usage, all in one dashboard.
The Primary account must be opted into Auto Renewal, have a valid payment card on file, and have an active Mint Mobile plan at the time of creating a Mint Family. A Member (secondary account) must have an active Mint Mobile plan to become part of a Mint Family.
Members and Primary account holders who sign up for any 12-month plan are eligible to pay for the 12-month plan in 3-month increments (the “Offer”) or pay the full 12-months upfront. Family Plan members who purchase 3- or 6- month plans will not be included in the Offer and will pay the full upfront price.
The Primary account holder must be opted into Auto Renewal to add Members to the Mint Family and maintain the Mint Family. To opt out of Auto Renewal, the Primary must first dissolve the Mint Family. The Primary account holder’s payment card will be charged automatically on the renewal date of each Member’s individual plan. When Members with an existing Mint Mobile plan join a Mint Family, the Member’s existing plan, charges, and plan renewal date do not change, and the Primary account holder’s payment card will be automatically charged on the Member’s plan renewal date. Any changes to a Member’s plan length or data amount, including cancellation of an account, must be made 24 hours prior to the plan renewal date. When a Primary account holder leaves the Mint Family, the Mint Family will dissolve and Members will be responsible for payment of their individual accounts.
Only a Primary account holder, who is properly authenticated by logging into their Mint Mobile account, will have the ability to add or remove Members, request for another Member to become the new primary account holder, or dissolve the Family. Any Member can remove themselves from the Family Plan. Mint Family plans are limited to one Primary account holder and four additional Members at one time.
Any Family Plan Member taking advantage of the Offer who leaves the Family Plan prior to completing the four incremental payments (“Early Leaver”) will pay the full upfront (3-month) pricing for each of the remaining quarterly payments. Early Leavers will be unable to change their plan length until the 12-month term has been completed, after which Members can choose to switch plans and pay the regular upfront cost. Nothing contained herein or otherwise shall constitute a waiver or relinquishment by Mint Mobile of any rights and remedies provided by applicable law. Nothing herein shall be deemed to limit any right of recovery that Mint Mobile has under law, in equity, or under any provision of this Agreement.
Any Family Plan member taking advantage of the Offer that leaves the Family Plan after completing all incremental payments for their 12-month term can continue service by paying the full upfront cost of any plan.
Primary account holders who are properly authenticated by logging into their Mint Mobile account will have the ability to add or remove lines; send a request for another Family Member to become the new primary account holder; accept or reject a request from a Member to pay for an add-on, or change plans; restore a suspended Member’s account; view a Member’s account status, plan details, add-ons, renewal balance, wallet balance, renewal date, amount due; leave the Mint Family, and other functions as they may be available from time to time.
Primary account holders may access certain plan information, including plan type(s), add-ons, and data usage, all of which may constitute Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI), for Members in the Mint Family. By joining a Mint Family, Members authorize the Primary account holder to access their plan information. A Member’s authorization for the Primary account holder to access the Member’s plan information is a requirement for participation in a Mint Family. Primary account holders may change over time and it is the Members’ responsibility to contact us if it no longer authorizes the Primary account holder to access the Member’s plan information and wishes to leave the Mint Family. Nothing in the foregoing limits Mint Mobile’s rights and responsibilities with respect to any lawful disclosures of CPNI.
The Primary account holder agrees to be notified by email and/or SMS about the Members’ activity and account status, including, but not limited to payment reminders, usage alerts, plan information, requests for add-ons and international roaming charges.
If any account, whether a Primary account holder or any Member account, is deactivated due to nonpayment, that account will be in a suspended status for 60 days. If the account is not reactivated within the 60-day period, it will be cancelled. If the account is cancelled, the remaining balance with respect to that account will be forfeited and we may reassign the telephone number associated with the account. Please note that if you wish to port to a different carrier, you must have an active account.
