You’ve finally said goodbye to Big Wireless…nice. We’re glad you broke free of contracts and overages. You’re safe now. We could tell you more about our unlimited talk and text, our free mobile hotspot, or even our free calling to Mexico and Canada. Or we could just let Ryan Reynolds do the talking.

Unlike Big Wireless, we make things easy for you. Like, checklist-easy. Here’s what to do after you’ve purchased your shiny new phone:

  • Grab your current carrier account number, PIN number and billing ZIP code from your current provider (especially if you want to bring your number over)
  • Enjoy that new phone smell, then plug it in and start setting it up
  • Unbox your SIM kit and follow the steps inside. The easiest way to activate is by downloading the Mint Mobile app (a Wi-Fi connection is needed) or go to mintmobile.com/activate.
  • Bask in the glory of a full year of wireless, a new phone and all that savings we hooked you up with
  • Tell a friend and get some referral credits

If you’ve checked all the boxes, continue on for more help getting set up.

You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers

You watched the videos and read our set-up instructions, but still have questions? All good, here are some frequently asked ones:

With our app or via your desktop at mintmobile.com/login. You can manage your data, refer a friend, check your monthly data usage, manage plan add-ons, pay for your plan and more.

They practically do yoga. As in…yes. If you need more data, then go ahead and increase it. We’ll even tell you how much data you’re using every month, so you can switch data plans accordingly, that way you never overpay. We also don’t cut you off or charge overages if you end up using more data that month.

It’s wireless your way. And it’s a lot easier than camel pose.

Once your plan ends, continue the savings by renewing with a 3, 6, or 12-month plan. The more months you buy, the more you save.

We also made renewing even easier by offering auto-renewal. By enrolling in Auto Renew for your wireless plan, you’ll never have to set a reminder to renew your plan ever again. And you won’t miss a single moment of wireless awesomeness.

Our Care team is available 7 days a week and can be reached at (800) 683-7392. But if you don’t like talking to people, you can chat with our Fox Bot 24/7 at mintmobile.com/chat.

Check our coverage map to verify service in your area. The icons in green will show the expected coverage in that location (outdoors, indoor residential, etc.) for certain phones. Enter multiple addresses/ZIP codes to check all the areas where you live, work and play.

Please be aware that outside factors like terrain, building structures, weather and other conditions may also interfere with the actual service available.

Any doubts, then you can test us out with our See for Yourself Kit, available exclusively through the Mint Mobile app. You’ll get a 7-day trial to test where you live, work and play. When you love us then you can purchase a full plan directly from the app.

Yes, the phone is locked to our Mint Mobile SIM cards. For more info on our unlocking policy, just click here.

That is not a problem. You can upgrade to a higher data amount anytime in the Mint Mobile app or through Account Management, but you cannot change the duration of your plan, as this offer is only for 12-month plans (buy 6 months of service, get 6 months free).

You can’t change the duration of your current plan once it’s started. You can, however, set up a new plan duration to automatically renew at the end of your current plan by logging into your account at mintmobile.com/login.

All new phones come with a manufacturer’s warranty from the original date of sale, so you’re good there.
