User Guide: 5G Gateway (TMO-G4AR) About the Gateway The first step: getting to know your gateway device. Inside the box, you should find the following items: Gateway Windowsill Bracket Power Adapter Quick Start Guide The gateway offers 4G LTE or 5G/NR WAN (Wide Area Network) mobile network connectivity via four wide band omni, or semi-directional, antennas that support all LTE/5G bands. The gateway serves as the connection point between the wide area network outside your home and the LAN, or Local Area Network, inside your home. How to set up your gateway device Setting up your gateway device takes just a few minutes. Just follow the steps in the setup instructions. Reading the gateway label Important info about the device and network, like the default Wi-Fi network name and password, can be found on the label located on the back of the device. Using the LCD Screen The left and right arrows on the LCD panel can be used to cycle through different screens. The dot indicator at the bottom of the LCD will let you know which screen you’re on. These different screens are: Signal Strength Just like your phone, the gateway can display up to five bars to indicate cellular signal strength. Connected Devices This screen lets you know how many devices are currently connected to your gateway’s Wi-Fi network. Internet Line Number This screen will show you your assigned internet line number. Messages Messages from Mint Mobile regarding password resets or other important updates will show up here. Language Preferences The gateway screens can be displayed in English or Spanish. To switch languages: From the Language screen, select CHANGE Using the arrow buttons, choose either English or Español Press O (the center button) to confirm your selection Factory Resetting the Gateway Device You can reset the gateway device to factory settings using the Reset port on the back of the device. Insert a paperclip into the Reset port for approximately 5 seconds. You should feel it press a small button inside the device Take out the paperclip once the LCD changes. The LCD screen will display Factory reset in progress Followed by the T-Mobile animated logo Then finally the Power up animation Once it’s powered back on, press O (the center button) to return to the Connections screen.
