You scramble to plug it in and get as much charge as possible in case you need to document a fancy appetizer or photo-worthy entree. In that moment, you’re wondering if there’s an answer to the question frantically taking over your head, “How to make your phone charge faster?” Well, fear not. We’ve compiled some easy ways to juice up the process of your phone getting some juice – so times like this don’t turn into complete panic. In this article Okay, so how do you get your phone to charge faster? Believe it or not, there are many ways to get your phone to charge faster without yelling at it. Here are a few ways to get your phone back up to an 80-100% range faster than a cheetah on Red Bull. Hmm, maybe not quite that fast: Upgrade your old charger: Making sure you have the latest and greatest and fastest charger is always a good start. A charger from 3 phones ago isn’t going to fill your battery as fast as the newest version will. Turn your phone off: Kinda obvious, we know, but setting your phone aside and turning it off keeps apps from updating in the background, which is a huge battery drainer. Don’t use your phone: So, it actually takes more time for your phone to replace power if you’re using power at the same time. We know it’s hard, but maybe just walk your dog or do some quick closet organizing while your phone’s charging. Take off your phone case: If you’re using a charging pad, any barrier that could get in the way of juice reaching your phone needs to be destroyed… okay, not that dramatic, but you get it. If you’re charging with a cable, removing the case actually helps cool down the phone so it doesn’t run so hot and doesn’t have to work harder to get charged. Use a fast-charging cable: There are many fast-charging, heavier gauge accessories that can help you speed things up to 1.4 times faster than your normal charger. Plug into a wall socket: Skip the laptop or car and amp up the process by going straight for a tried and true wall outlet, that way, you get power directly from the source. Does your phone charge faster on airplane mode? Switching to airplane mode disables Wi-Fi calling, cellular and Bluetooth, which are all notorious for draining battery and slowing down the charging process. Basically, it makes your phone focus on charging rather than scrolling, streaming, calling, listening and any other “ing” that may get in the way of it quickly reaching an adequate charge. Does your phone charge faster on low power mode? Otherwise known as “battery saver” or “power saving mode” on Android phones, this will reduce the amount of power your phone uses by disabling certain features that tend to drain your battery faster. The awesome news is, while those features are temporarily put on hold, you can still get texts & calls and access the internet… which is low power mode’s superpower over airplane mode. Keep calm and charge your phone faster Let the dinner plans commence. No more five-minute panics to get three more percent of battery charge into your phone in record time.
