Reasons to screen record on iPhone

So you know how to screen record, you know how to edit screen recordings and you know how to share them. But you’re still asking why you’d need to screen record. We dig philosophical pondering. Here are a few reasons:

  • To make tutorials or how-tos: Instead of explaining a long process verbally or through the written word (we get the irony), it can be easier to just screen record and show someone how to do something step-by-step. Plus, you can add your voice and walk people through whatever process you’re filming.
  • For troubleshooting and tech support: Does your phone stop having issues as soon as you ask the tech guy to look at it? Us, too. That’s why it might be helpful to screen record whatever the problem is for tech support.
  • For content creation: Screen recording is a great tool for content creators and influencers that can help them capture app walkthroughs, reviews and live interactions.
  • For fun: Sometimes it’s just nice to be able to record a clip of exactly what you want to share as a message, like a funny Instagram Reel.
