Same & improved: your service is getting better, again

After announcing our pending acquisition last year, we’re super excited to announce that we’re officially a member of the T-Mobile family. We can also finally announce a few improvemints to make sure Mint stays Mint, thanks to the power of T-Mobile. Read on to learn what they are.

But first, something that isn’t changing. Affordability has always been super important to us and our customers. That’s why we’re proud to announce our $15 Commitmint*: Mint will continue to have a $15/mo plan option for new and existing customers AND, to take things a step further, new customers will be able to get our Unlimited plan for $15/mo until the end of the year.**

*$15/mo Commitmint: Upfront payment for multi-month plan required. Commitmint excludes taxes & fees, select promotions, third-party charges, per-use charges, add-on features, & network management practices; rate plan features may vary.

**3-Months of Unlimited Premium Wireless for $15/mo: Upfront payment of $45 for 3-month plan (equivalent to $15/mo) required. Promotional rate for first 3 months only; then full-price plan options available. Taxes and fees extra.  Limited time new customer offer; non-transferable & no cash value. Unlimited customers only >40GB/mo will experience lower speeds. Videos stream at ~480p. See full terms at mintmobile.com.

More great features, same affordable price

Here’s where things start changing. We’re always looking for ways to raise the bar on our customers’ experience without raising prices. That’s why we’ve done things like increase your data amounts three times, all for free. Our latest features, which will be available on all plans at no additional costs, are all about increasing the value you’re getting from Mint (and not the price tag).

Scam Screener - coming this week

Coming this week: Scam Screener

Next time you get a call from a suspected scammer, you’ll know without even answering. That’s because over the next week, we’re introducing Scam Screener, a feature that will display ‘Scam Likely’ when you receive a call that’s likely a scam call. You’ll also see some calls labeled as Telemarketing, Nuisance and other labels so you can be choosy about when you actually pick up (just make sure you answer when it says ‘Mom’). To top it off, Scam Screener can also catch spoofed calls because it tracks actual call behavior and not just phone numbers. Scam Screener will be included on all of our plans at no extra cost and can’t be toggled on or off. So robo-calls and spoofers, begone.

Free roaming in Canada - coming soon

Coming soon: Free roaming in Canada

While you could always call Canada for free on Mint, now when you visit our friendly neighbors to the north, you can talk, text and data roam for FREE, too (it’s all caps worthy). Yep, enjoy free unlimited talk and text and 3GB of high-speed data that renews monthly while you explore Ryan’s homeland, all at no additional cost. As soon as you cross the border, you’ll be notified via SMS that free roaming is ready to be turned on so you can text in Toronto, call in Calgary and stream Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place just about everywhere.

Free Roaming in Canada: Not for extended international use; service may be terminated or restricted for excessive roaming. Coverage not available in some areas.

Mint is getting Mint-ier

The TL;DR? Exactly what we said above. We’re still the same Mint… only Mint-ier.
